Planking has begun. The bulwarks were done first. Planking belts have been laid out for the lower hull.

At this point the bulkheads have been shaped. Also, it can be seen that gun ports (as well as sweep ports) have been framed.

The kit is open. The build has begun. When completed, U.S. Brig Niagara will be just over 3 feet in length and just over 2 feet in height.
